Environmental Sustainability

One prominent issue of our time is climate change, and the company expects to work with other partners to create a more inclusive and sustainable future for everyone. With a 1.5-degree pathway in mind, Oak Digital Consulting has set science-based targets that have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative to achieve net-zero climate impact by 2030. 

The company acknowledges that some activities may harm the environment. By reviewing these activities, Oak Digital Consulting seeks ways to reduce its environmental impact. Not limited by, the company strongly believes in the following:

Data protection and commitment to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a piece of legislation that aims to make data protection regulations for all people in the European Union stronger and more uniform. Oak Digital Consulting is entirely committed to achieving and upholding ongoing compliance with it.

The various components the company focuses on to comply are summarised in the following condensed version of Oak’s GDPR Roadmap:

  • A Data Protection Officer (or similar role) is appointed within the company.
  • Creation of a plan to handle the GDPR-affected areas in the business.
  • Secure and manage all the personal data under the company’s control.
  • Update the privacy policy regularly.
  • Establish and maintain strict rules for email subscriptions.
  • Adjust internal practices to achieve and maintain GDPR compliance.
  • Update the websites so that the collection and tracking of personal data comply with the most recent versions of the GDPR guidelines.
  • Thoroughly test each change to ensure that it complies with GDPR.
